Walnut Grove Park in Newbury Park

The Walnut Grove Park in Newbury Park is a wonderful place to visit. It is located 400 Windtree Ave, Thousand Oaks, CA 91320

and offers a variety of activities. For example, there is an open turf field, a handball court, and a disc golf course. It also has picnic

shelters and two tot lots.

The history of the area dates back to the early settlement of the Native Americans in the Twin Oaks Valley. The first village of Native Americans in the valley was over a thousand years old. The Parks and Recreation Department has done a lot of work to preserve and enhance the area's natural resources. It has added a number of features to the area, including an equestrian facility, a large grass field, trails, and an events center. The pond in the park provides fishing and boating opportunities. The park has also been designated as a wildlife preserve. There are also several native trees and other plant life throughout the area.

The Parks and Recreation Department developed a 19-acre open turf field, and they installed restroom buildings and a pond. They also developed tot lots and placed historic buildings. They have also renovated the existing building. It is a very large park with a wide variety of activities to enjoy. There is a dog park with a good size dog enclosure. It has a water fountain and plenty of dog bags to put out any litter. The grass in the dog area is not very well maintained. The north side of the park is a bit larger than the south side.

The park is a great location to visit with the whole family. It has a large number of activities for all ages, such as picnicking, fishing, camping, disc golf, and other recreational activities. There are also historical and environmental elements to the park. The Wapsipinicon River borders the park and Dianna's/Kelly Pond is nearby. There is even a western pond turtle preserve. The park is open from April to October. The fall season can result in parking congestion, however. There are many camping sites available, for a cost of $18 per night.

The park was named after the walnut trees. It is also a great place to visit if you are interested in learning about the area's history. For instance, in the 1980s, the Chamber of Commerce held a chili cookoff in the area. In 1993, the Williams Square Barn was moved to the park. It was moved in order to allow for road improvements.

The Walnut Grove Park also has an accessible pathway. It has an outdoor handball court, as well as new raceway-themed play equipment. There are benches and trees throughout the park. The park is open from April to October, and has a 0.8-mile route that can be used for a variety of purposes. The area is close to the freeway, making it convenient for visitors to enjoy.
